Morning everyone,

I read somewhere that you have to pay 10$ at Inle Lake, is that true? And how do they collect it since I guess people don't arrive at the same place. Is there some kind of gate, or is it rather included in your hotel price?

Hi Golbey
There are check points on the side of the road where you can buy the ticket. Your correct the entrance fee is $10 per person and you should carry the ticket with you at all times in case of inspection. Which ever way you arrive into Inle there are opportunities to buy. Most people come by couch like we did and get a taxi into the town and the taxi driver will stop so you can purchase your ticket.

You can read about my experience at Inle Lake, it might give you a few ideas of what to do there! http:/www.thewanderingwanderluster.com/day-13-exploring-nyaung-shwe-burmese-wine/
