Preeyanuch “Preaw” Nonechai, 24, seems out of reach of authorities as she evades them for yet another day. The woman suspected of killing and dismembering Khon Kaen bar girl Warisara Klinjui, 22, seemed to have lived a glamorous life online.

Her Facebook page reveals past photos of travel to Singapore and China, the purchase of luxury goods from YSL, Fendi, and Gucci and lots and lots of photos of her with stacks of cash.

Reported to be a user and dealer of crystal methamphetamine, the sale of drugs may be where she got the cash to fund her sometimes lavish lifestyle.

It is known that the suspect crossed the border into Myanmar the same day that Warisara’s body was found. Police now believe that Preaw may be hiding out in a remote part of Myanmar controlled by guerrilla forces, a Lahu militia group called Red Wa, that the police rarely enter.

Those forces are also involved with the drug trade. She has been reported to be a small-time dealer, but she may have been more involved with international drug dealing than assumed.

Preaw is thought to have killed Warisara because the young woman shared information about drug dealing with police that landed several people in jail. It is known that she crossed the border into Myanmar the same day that Warisara’s body was found — including Preaw’s husband — in jail. One theory is that the murder of the bar girl was revenge by cross-border drug dealers and that Preaw could have simply acted on their orders knowing that they would shield her later.

Warisara’s body was discovered last Thursday by passing villagers. Her body was cut into pieces and placed into garbage bags and plastic bins before being buried in a shallow grave in Khao Suan Kwang district.

When the murder took place, police believe that Kawita Rachada, 26, Apiwan Satayabundit, 28, Wasin Namprom, 22, and Jidarat Promkun, 21, were also in the car where the deed took place.

Wasin and Jidarat are already in custody. Wasin said that he was driving the car while Jiradat claims she was not there at all. The other two women are thought to be in Myanmar with Preaw.

The Nation reported that Preaw’s brother and husband are also involved in drug dealing and gangs. They also noted that Preaw’s name appears in police records that track drugs suspects.

The Myanmar authorities continue to search for the three women.
