Nearly 200,000 foreign tourists enter Myanmar via int’l airports last December

Around 200,000 foreign tourists entered Myanmar through Yangon, Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw international airports in December 2019 exceeding over 50,000 compared with the same period of the year before, according to the Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population. 

Last December saw 193,864 international tourists while December 2018 saw 149,705. Like the increased arrivals of tourists through airports, the number of tourist arrivals through border point of entry increased as well, according to ministry data.
