Myanmar’s ancient art form marionette puppetry, believed hundreds of years old, was the highlight of an event held at the auditorium of Goethe Villa, near the northwest corner of Kandawgyi Lake off of Kabar Aye Pagoda Road, last week.
The event organised by Institut Francaise de Birmanie and the Goethe Institut, brought together a fusion of the longstanding tradition of Myanmar puppetry and contemporary art for a performance titled The Hidden Ghosts of Myanmar, a tale about the ghosts of Myanmar, and their relations to its people.
