Ye Le Pagoda
In Kyauktan about 15km (9 miles) south of Thanlyin on one of the Yangon River's tributaries, is the Ye Le Pagoda (entrance fee). Ye Le is famous for its unusual location on a river island.

Notice that the water never rises high enough to cover the temple. Its layered roof and gilded eaves make every visit feel like a unique discovery.

The only access to the temple is via boat, which is more expensive for tourists.
